Tess Blair is a full-time artist and lifelong art student, focusing her practice on oil painting, sculpture, and fiber arts. Tess also makes her home and family her guinea pigs for her experiments and art projects, painting or bedazzling anything or anyone that will hold still in her colorful, maximalist art style.  

Currently, her works lean toward contemporary portraiture and figurative painting. Tess also designs and creates clothing and household items, refurbishes furniture, and reimagines household goods as sculpture, all while staying true to her vibrant, maximalist style of color and texture.

Tess is a mother to three humans and a dog, and a grandmother to one perfect little person. She is fortunate to share her life with a truly exceptional man. Tess and her family love to travel, hike, read, and play with Legos.
